Looking for a 1985 Uhaul wheel, if you are changing yours out, I need a spare.
Thank you

Many of us, UHaul owners are looking for wheels. My most recent research shows that 1965-1966 Chevy Corvair wheels have the same 13" size and the 5.75" bolt pattern. The offset is different, but it might fit. Junk yards are the best option, especially since the Corvairs are now considered classics=expensive parts.

Try finding a willing Uhaul dealer. Ours sold us two new ones, but they have to buy them and then sell them to you.
You get a variety of reactions. Many will say no; some have been in the business for years and may still have the replacement parts to sell you; others will accuse you of stealing the trailer or buying stolen property.
There might also be some old UHaul fixit shops like the one in Cheyenne who might have old rims to sell. That one had old trailers sitting around.

I know this is an extreme example of trivial data collection, but I believe I have the U-haul part number for that wheel on my home computer (in case you wanted to go the U-haul center buying route).
I'll look when I'm there.

And here I even managed to find it in my "files"
I also had noted that it cost the person about $80.

That's what they cost us. That price is for each one.

For anyone interested I will have two uhaul wheels and tires ( tires somewhat worn but still have some usable tread ) for sale as soon as my replacement rims and tires come in. Would take $50.00 each, you pay shipping or can deliver at the Bandon gathering. Could be three available if the response to this posting is good I will replace both tires on my uhaul and the spare. The third tire/wheel boasts a brand new original uhaul tire.

Lee, post this over on uhaulcamper.com too. There's more than one person looking for these.

Hi Lee,
What type of tires did you order? We were disappointed to discover that the local tire store that outfits U-Haul trailers won't sell the Goodyear "made for U-Haul" tires to us. So, we're wondering what we should order instead...

Lee, I would like to buy one, as I have no spare & the Uhaul dealer would not order one for me (also Uhaul headquarters would not help me).

Jeanne and Steve I haven't purchased yet but there is a site that can be pulled up on Google under ( I used tires and rims ) that is showing tires and rims that seem to be the same specs as uhaul tires and rims. The site features 550 Loadstar and Carlisle trailer tires. I have only a little knowledge of Carlisle ( haven't heard anything negative about them ) and absolutely no knowledge of the 550 Loadstar tire. I did post on the forum to see if anyone had any knowledge about either of these tires but at this time have had zero in the way of response. If you want specific info as to the Google site I can go out to it again and provide more specific info as to how to access it. Lee
