West Wight Potter for sale

This is a molded fiberglass pocket cruiser sailboat. She is 15 foot long and sleeps two people. Think of it as a trailer that floats along a river instead of being driven down a road. And when you are ready to sleep, you tie up to a tree or pull up on a beach!

Not a trailer, but it is much like a small trailer this 15' sailboat lets you see the country at your own pace.

Her name is Mathilda and she has everything you need to start sailing on the bay, a lake or a river. She has custom made sails, a 2hp Honda motor for when the wind is light, a kick-up rudder for when the water gets shallow, seating and sleeping for two people, a trailer for towing between bodies of water and a lot more.

Potters tend to sail in pods of potters. Her she is on a Potter Yachter club outing on a lake in the sierras.

PM me if you are interested. I'm going to put her on Craigslist as soon as I can figure it out.

It is still for sale! Though one of the other forum member is seriously considering it.

Lake Havasu is fabulous, but I was only there for the sail boat races last year.

I live in the SF Bay Area and my sailboat is in dry docked in Redwood City.

She is a great boat in great shape and she comes with a full set of equipment:

including 3 anchors, 3 PFDs, many fenders, cushions, covers, a boom-vang, a boat hook, lines, rough weather gear, a tiller tamer, a ladder and much more.

PM me if you want to se it.

Most Potters are sailed by people who just want to have fun sailing after having sailed big boats most of their lives, because they are fun!

I'm asking $4000 for my 1975 Potter with all the equipment including the custom Pineapple sails, the 2 HP Honda motor and the trailer.

She is in great shape. The fiberglass is perfect and the cabin is dry after a full day of sailing.

Lake Havasu is fun to sail in because you can sail her up to a restaurant and if there isn't a dock you beach the potter because she has a kick- up centerboard!

It's a West Wight Potter, no R in Wight!

I have a book on micro cruisers like the Potter. Not a bad place to sleep while you are on the road, if a mite less comfy than a fiberglass trailer. I had a Montgomery 15 and camped in it a few times while traveling. Easy launching, easy beaching, and fun to sail.

Right!

I believe it is named after the Isle of Wight where they were first made.

But I could be wrong here too!
