At the present time I'm this years president of the local group of woodcarvers. I am an avid canooest and have built both fiberglass and cedar strip canoes and kayaks. I build folk instruments like banjos and dulcimers. One of my Mountan Dulcimers took home a first prize at last years wood show. I also like gardening and photography.

"Do up Your Jacket, it's getting deeper."

This little carricature was done from a Paul Mason callendar.

I love the canoes. This is one of those projects I've been considering taking on. Any suggestions for a first time build? Kit vs. Scratch, pre-bought forms, etc?

These were made from plans found in a book, Canoecraft by Ted Moores. They are 17 1/2 feet long and have travelled some of the rivers of the Voyegeurs Highway. As I approach 70 I find that I have slowed down a bit but still use them regularly in the summer.

I was voted in as president of our local Tri County Woodcarvers club and decided that it was quite an honour. I thought, "Boy! I must be getting pretty good", until one of the others said, "Better you than me, EH?"

Yeah, that's about how the presidency works in the model car club I belong to...

I got the wrong photo. The first one was a trial. I like this one as a finished theme.

Here's a Dulcijo I made from a discarded banjo. It's lots of fun.

Here's my versionthat I made from a picture taken of the decal on a trailer. My wife thinks that it should be "Yeti" white.
