Any Coin collectors?

While sorting out all the quarters for the new parking tickets in downtown Tacoma, WA. I came upon a couple you might want.

1) A 2009 quarter from the "Northern Mariana Islands"! I didn't even know they were "part of US"! It does not appear that it has passed thru very may pockets, and is quite shiny and clean.

2) One that really surprised me! A bi-Centennial quarter! I assume that it was only minted in 1976, and is still remarkably clean.

I am not a coin collector, but I could not bring myself to put these coins back into circulation, so here they are.

Like you, I am no numismatist , but we have bags of wheat pennies, dozens of silver coins from days gone by, and of course several full collections of those ubiquitous State Quarters.
We are now getting hooked on those D@#ned presidential dollars, which cause me to reminisce about those plastic presidents I used to get in boxes of Quaker Oats when I was a child.

What ever happened to those dollar coins that were out about 3-4 years ago that had writing on the edge? I have never seen one in circulation.

The older "Sac" dollars had a plain edge, but the newer "Native American" coin has edge markings. Presidential dollars also have edge markings. (I'd have to look that up--I think they changed in 2010.)
All are theoretically in circulation--people just save them.

Yes, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is a bunch of islands just north of Guam that we acquired from Japan at the end of WWII. I'm quite pleased they got a bunch of US quarters minted for them. I guess that means we'll keep them.
