Any Corn toss game players??

I don't know if this would be the correct location for this thread....

I have some friends and youngsters (well younger than me anyway) that have asked me about showing them how to work with fiberglass IE building Plugs, molds and finished parts, also vacuum infusion vs open molding.
Since its a popular past time, I am going to make a Corn toss board mold and parts. I plan to video the Plug and Mold building process (I'll post them when I am done)

I am curious if any of the memebers here are Corn toss players?

That's a great idea. I'm looking forward to seeing your video. We used to play a Corntoss game at rallies with our Airsream group. Its a great mindless activity while camping.

And by the way, Nicholas: I think making one out of fiberglass is a great idea...

Now, I wonder, is corn involved at all in this game? Was corn cobs used? Never mind, historically, corn bags were used. There is ACA- American Corn**** Association- http://www.playcornhole.org
who'd thunk it?

It was called "bean bags" all the time I grew up...popularity of it seems to have much increased since it was given a titter-inducing name, probably by drunk college students.

Interestingly, many sites selling the "equipment" for the various versions of the game still call them "beanbag games", though tagged of course with the more popular term (which probably originated in prisons, and the reference to corn was certainly not to its individual kernel form, if you get my drift).

Francesca, I think the site for the game in question was put up as a joke.

I think a type of distilled corn is used to "aid" in the game

I don't know how to address this issue without getting kicked off the forum.
I've never heard of the game, but I have heard the word. And, I would never name a game using that term.
I haven't followed the link, nor would I. I'm not going to play.

In my circle of tailgating friends, it is called Corn toss because the bags we use are filled with dried Corn, not Beans. It is really a fun game for all age groups. Since you only need one hand to pitch the bags, the other hand is free to hold your favorite beverage of choice. Some people get quite skilled playing it. You can even win prize money in official Corntoss Tournaments.

I have changed the title to Corn Toss and the references should all read corn toss. Let's try and keep our thinking to Corn Toss!!
