I built a model of a 12' x 50' Mobile Home. It is a "stickie" trailer: the wall framing is all Popsicle Sticks.
It is to the scale of 1/2" = 1'

Wow, Steve and Fred those are fabulous!
Last year I started a Halloween scape but didn't get it finished. I'm going to pull it out and get-r-done for the Lake Casitas rally this year. I love to re-purpose and modify things.

I'll display it at my site (A23) at the Oregon Gathering.

Boler Models
Thought you might be interested.
At the PEI rally a person was selling very nice looking Boler Models. I believe they had fiberglass shells.

nice stuff. i build models too. mostly sail boats and ships in bottles.
built a 1956 cc cobra remote control boat .
a few airplanes too.
i'm planning on building more canoe models as they take up little space and can be worked on while camping. and they have some interest to other campers.
i also am a bit of a whittler, carve walking sticks, miniature sailers, animals and such.

At the Oregon Gathering, I talked to some kind people who were very complimentary about my models, and so I thought you folks here might like to see a few more models I've completed since I started this thread:
A raid on a farm by Cow-Stealin' Aliens:

(oh, and here's a video of me crushing the barn)
UFO Interceptor, 1959:

And a circus calliope, mounted on a Mack hovertruck:

The latest project, still far from complete, is a kit of a strangely-shaped flying machine that I'm turning into an Edwardian Aerial Housecar. So far I've been working mostly on the Housecar itself, but to fit out the main cabin properly I'll be building a lot of furniture, which will be fun.

A better propeller I built for it one Sunday morning:

I finished the Edwardian Aerial Housecar a month or so ago, and here are some pictures:
Port side, showing off a dignified profile--
Starboard side, displaying various practical apparatus, including access ladder, supply crane, and boathooks--
Emily & Amanda get a letter
Postman Jack
The china hutch
The control station; a certain aptitude is required...
...and the whole album is here!
I entered it in a local contest, and out of 700 models, it won Popular Choice and Best Kitbashing! I was walking on air for three days afterwards.

Thanks!
The next project is a steampunk tunnelling machine, a mechanical mole. It's part of a group build: Nine modellers each have a foot-square tile with basic groundwork; the assignment is to build a steampunk war machine (Jules Verne-style). Some of the tiles are Prussians, some are French; there are a few simple rules about the scale, which way your machine should be facing, which way the river is flowing, etc, and we've made a group purchase of a whole mess of teensy Prussian and French soldier figures.
At the local sci-fi model contest in September, everybody brings their completed tile, we set them all together in a grid, and voila! Awesomeness happens!
So far we've got a giant robot, a mobile fortress, two airships, a land ironclad, a railgun, and a mechanical mole. (A couple of the guys are still thinking about what to build.)
