hi everyone, I collect and restore vintage Coleman products, and a few other early camp stoves. I have been a member of the International Coleman Collectors Club since 1996, but I think I now have a new addiction

Years back I almost thew away my Dad's single mantle, white gas, red in color, coleman lantern, when I found that I could buy all the replacement parts at Cabela's. I rebuilt it and cleaned it as instructed on the Colemen site and the thing works great.
Fun topic. I started my interest in Coleman after my Dad gave me his 228E which we used on camping trips when I was a kid. I have a collection of Coleman camping items, mostly lanterns and some stoves. I like to clean them up and try to get them in working order. In many cases all that is needed is a new fuel gasket and some oil on the pump leather. My oldest lantern is an LQ 427 from 1926 which has a mica globe.
morning Ken, Coleman 427 is probably 1 of my favorites as are all the early models. I am fully addicted probably 75 lanterns, 30 lamps, 25 irons, stoves? and all kind of bits and pieces. Will post up some pictures
