Thanks Gloria! I used the magic tube method to make the pillowcases. It was fun.

Trailer Quilt Block

Just came across this cute Trailer quilt block, from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks from Today's Designers. Vol. 8

Someone pointed out that the door was on the wrong side, but you could easily reverse it.

[you could say it's actually a teardrop camper, many of them, but not ours, have a door on both sides

The axle is way back to the rear as tear drops have.
Still a nice quilt block.

Daughter and I have started playing with embroidery and cross-stitch.
Thinking about making my own block with the Snoozy as the star.
How hard can it be to draw a bullet?.......lol

I love this "thread" (pardon the pun). Let's keep it going! Keep sending your great "glamping" ideas.

Carol wrote earlier that she wished she had a way to "waterproof" her curtains as our trailers are prone to indoor moisture retention. Actually, if you simply spray Scothgard on the fabric it will do a good job.

Quiltgirl, I LOVE the quilted trailer motif! Thanks for sharing.

My turn

Curtains, including closeup. Pillows. Not threads but woods, cabinet doors.

I found that using a light thermal lining which has a bit of a plastic coating on it helps a lot in prevent the curtains from soaking up moisture from the windows and helps with blocking light. If you sew a few earth magnets into the bottom of the curtains they will cling to the bottom of the window frame when closed eliminating the gap between the window and the curtains, reducing the cold air draft down onto your head when winter camping.

Very nicely done, Bryon. The modifs look especially appropriate for a man's camper. I like it!

Looks great!

Are the doors decoupaged with something?

The doors are solid maple. I used a woodburning pen to create the scene. Color was added using water soluble crayons and isopropyl alcohol to move the color around.

I can't take all the credit. The cabinet doors are my creation, the rest is my wife's choice of fabric and sewing.

Those doors are amazing. I'll hope there are more pictures on your registry. I'm sure the doors and the fabrics really make it feel warm and cozy inside. Great job!
