That's a bright and cheerful looking chicken - and a good, sharp shot too.

I have a grandson who matches your user name - Alan in Alberta!

Ron - I'm looking forward to seeing some images from you.

Some terrific shots. I have a new Fuji camera and have to learn how to download pictures to the site.
Keep sending pictures, we all love them.

Jon - your "Member Gallery" is superb. The light in your landscapes is as awe inspiring as the actual landscapes. Do you plan ahead so you are in the right place at the right time? I chuckled at the bison licking his nose.

Alan - your coyote I suspect, was closer to your camera than mine was to my camera. Lovely shot. One to be proud of.

Thanks - as to planning, I try. I have The Photographer's Ephemeris app on my iPhone - it shows the sun and moon rise and set times for any date as well as a map that shows where they will rise (or set) for any location. Very useful for picking moonless nights, moon or sunrise at a location, etc, although I don't always get to be where I want to be at the right time. For example, I definitely need to go back to the Crystal Mill in Colorado later in the day. A big advantage of being retired is more time to stay at locations waiting for better weather, etc.

I've just started carrying my camera.
I'm intrigued by old and falling down structures.

Here's a few of the local barns near here.
I thought I might collect some and call it "Oklahoma's Past."

Are movies OK in here? Here's a short video I made when we stopped at Petrolia, Ontario on the way back from picking up our trailer in Florida. Hey... a bit out of the way, but we like the long way home!

Petrolia - Birthplace of the Oil Industry - YouTube

One of the things I really liked about Petrolia were the sounds.

Trip to Okanagan June 2013

We have just returned from a week in the Okanagan Valley of BC.

We spent three days at Okanagan Lake Provincial Park:

And three days at Haynes Point Provincial Park:

We have been to these places before, but each time we see something new and wonderful.

Lovely shots, as always, Brian.

Here is one I took at Grasslands National Park - poor bison had an itchy butt!

I agree with the other, excellent shots as always, Brian.

Here is one I took on a recent trip to Denmark. Took a bit of PhotoShop magic to get the buildings to pop.
