Thanks! I used a Sigma 120-400 mm lens at 400 mm on my Pentax K-3, manual focus, remote release, spot metering and mirror lockup on a tripod; f/8, 1/800 sec, ISO 400. Took several shots, focusing between each.

Thank you Brian for sharing this with us. It's so beautiful. I had wished I could see this moon, it was raining here. Your photos are wonderful.

September camping in Washington

We were camping on Whidbey Island for a few days. Lots of opportunity for taking pictures!

Beautiful!
Is she making a left turn or is that bent shaft downside up?

Thanks, and good eye. She is bracing to keep the canoe going straight while I take the photo.

Smile Brian

You have such a talent for picture taking.
I used to be better than I am. For some reason, I seem to be losing my eye.
Your photo of the Lady Washington would be appreciated by the group operating her and the Hawaiian Chieftain

photos@historicalseaport.org.

They used one I took in Eureka, CA some years ago, but I see it isn't on their website any longer. It was a good shot except for the unknown person ducking in front of the camera.

That sort of scenery is hard to beat. Great spot to canoe. Thanks for taking us there.

OMG Jim, what an outstanding image!!!!! I take my hat off to you as a talented photographer.

I have seen a lot of good pics in my day and I have to say this one is going to be memorable for a long time. With your permission I would like to copy and save it to my Windows photo gallery. It is very, very good.

Thanks guys.

Wayne, I have no issue with that at all, just so long as you aren't making money off it, or using it for your gain.
