There's beer drinking at this event!? I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you!

But seriously...

We used to have a Strange Brew party (Doug & Bob movie, spin off from a SCTV skit... Beauty! eh? Hoser!). All the exchange beers went into a large ice filled plastic bin with a hand hole. You had to reach in and take and drink whatever beer you came up with. No peeking. No exchanges. There was some awful beer in there!

Brats seemed an essential part of this party as well.

Hi Steve,

I think I saw six packs of the IPA you like at our Trader Joe's in Reno. Maybe it's at the Sacramento TJ's too.

Hi, Carol,

Thanks for the information. I had the Rubicon IPA at the Rubicon Brewing Company brew pub here in Sacramento and that's where I bought a case. It may well be available at one of the TJ's in our area, as well. However, I have decided to take Donna D.'s advice and bring beer in standard 12 oz. bottles. So I will be bringing Mendocino Brewing Company Red Tail Ale, which is another of my favorites.

I bring 2 six-packs - one light and one dark. One is for my husband who won't be there for the exchange and the other is for me.

Hi: All...Too bad I can't join in the fun at the Beer Exchange. We did take some local craft brew "Iron Spike" to Vermont and New Brunswick and it was well received there!!! To my great delight I was able to buy a 24 of Leinenkugels at the Duty Free on our return to Canada. They sure know how to brew good beer in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin.
