Called the Bullard Beach Reservation number on our reservation confirmation today to pay the remainder of our fee. I was informed that the showers at this time are not operational. They did say that if they do not get them up and running for our stay they will refund $2 per night.

Some of us (maybe most) do not have showers in our trailers. Bring your camp showers LOL. Is there a gym anywhere nearby to take showers at or can we get some group tent showers up and running? any ideas?

Thumbs down

Cheryl, there are at least three shower houses (one in each loop), is it possible that only one shower house is not operational at a time? It's unfathonable that the state park system would take all three down at the same time and at the busiest time of the year. I'll call Bullard's at get back to the group with what I find out.

Okay, just called. and Yes all three are down and Yes there's a STRONG POSSIBILITY all three will be up and operational by this weekend (July 14-15), so not to worry and currently there's water to all the restrooms and campsites.

Hey, there's a car wash in town....if necessary bring your swimsuit!

Put the top down and clean the inside of the convertable at the same time. Multitasking.

Donna,

Do you think we can get a group rate if we all go thru the carwash in our swim suits at the same time. I vote for the Super wash with hot wax. lol

Is there a posiblity that at some time there won't be water to the sites? If there is, you can just bring a kiddy pool, a hose and take a bath right there at your site.

Hi, Guys - sorry to undermine all this capitalistic zeal, but Dave just returned from his nice hot SHOWER here at Bullards Beach SP! Service was apparently restored late this morning (Sunday 7/15) so we can all be squeaky-clean for the Gathering! Safe travels and we'll see y'all soon, L 'n D
