Bullard's Beach State Park is saying that it does not have any sites available for all three nights of the Oregon Gathering. THIS IS NOT THE CASE, PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BOOK FROM NOW THROUGH THIS WEEKEND (OCT 17-21)

I can no longer handle cancellations and waiting lists so am starting this thread instead. ~Nancy

Cancelling Reservations:There are 4 steps to cancel your reservations:
  1. Before you cancel your campsite reservations with the ReserveAmerica....
  2. Check the postings here. Contact people that are looking for sites. If no one is currently looking for a site, then post a note on this thread along with an email address so people can contact you. (Please post when you find someone to take your site.)
  3. Go to the following link and let me know that you will not be coming to the Oregon Gathering. (This action will not cancel your campsite.)
I Will Not Be Attending the Oregon Gathering
  4. If you do not get a response within a couple of weeks, then go ahead and cancel your site with ReserveAmerica.

Nancy,

I just checked ReserveAmerica.com and Bullards Beach State Park DOES have openings in B and C loops. The problem: for some reason the website won't allow you to have July 17 as your arrival date, even though it's less than 9 months from today. If you choose July 16 as your arrival date you'll find there are still lots of openings for the dates of the Gathering. For folks that want an arrival date of July 17 you might want to call the 800 # for Reserve America for your reservation.

Jeanne is 100% correct.

I just went in and made several "mock" ressies for open sites in B & C Loops and it let me into all of them. I went as for in the system as I could without actually confirming my payment. My arrival date was on the 16th.. if I did the 17th, it wouldn't let me book.

A Loop is most definitely full at this time, however.

Try making your reservations tomorrow. RA is doing some major upgrades for the forest service and BLM campgrounds ... as a matter of fact, you can't book for either during the month of October.

Perhaps there is a burp or two in the system due to that upgrade. I had a similar issue a couple of weeks ago where I could not get an accepted ressie and I was within the 9 month window. I was able to do so the next day, however.

Tomorrow, when you book and your arrival date really is the 16th, just enter that (+ the # of days you want, of course). Thats what I did and it worked. Go figure. (Next year is a leap year.. maybe it is counting DAYS and not DATES??? That would explain the one day lag...)

Gina,
I did the same thing that you did and came up with what you did, I know of two people that got reservations and haven't sign in with Nancy so I e-mailed them and I E-mailed Nancy and told her about some people not signing in with her.
Thanks for all you do for this great site. Jay

Site C-14 a full hookup is up for adoption...we had a family situation come up and will have to wait until next year to attend. We booked for July 16 arrival and departure on July 21. Ann

Hi Ann -
Has your site been snapped up yet? Nick and Janelle with their furry pals and their 13' Scamp (first timers for this event - did the fall event @ Champoeg) would love to adopt it. If it is available - let me know the details and we can get you covered.

Just got my summer schedule of treatments and there is a direct conflict with the Oregon Gathering, really bummed that we cannot make it. Our west coast trip has been changed to a fly in, fly out and need to be back home by the 15th.

Site B63 will be available from the 16th to the 21st. Let me know if you are interested and we can see how to change the reservation over to your name.

Nancy.....Will fill out the cancellation form shortly.

We are in need of one more site arriving on Friday the 18th (or Thursday the 17th) and departing Sunday the 20th. If someone is unfortunate enough to not be able to make it, please let me know so that I can send you payment for a site and so that you don't have to cancel your reserve america reservation.

Thanks!
-Isaac

Looking for a spot at the Oregon gathering... 19 foot Biggar (makes me smile to type that... it's new). Any spot & any combo of dates would be WONDERFUL! Ideally, electrical hookup but not necessary. This'll be our first gathering with baby!

We are so bummed. Lori’s work has cancelled all vacations in July and she has to work, no options.

I made reservations for A-60, the handicap site with full hookups. It is very close to the doings. If you are handicaped and are interested in our site, please let me know.
