Barbara, you need to go to where the Gathering is being planned and not post here because it won't get to everyone. People have to volunteer to do a demo or workshop. We've sent out emails and asked the website but no one is stepping forward. Please go here to post your request: Oregon Gathering

Schedule Soon to be Announced: GARDEN Tour of Bandon's premier show spots

In a day or two, I will be posting another WONDERFUL EVENT, specifically planned for our upcoming Bandon EGGIE MEET.

We already have received notice of theMerritt Farm Lavender Farm tour, set for for Friday, @11AM.

Since then, I have gotten together with the Weed'em Feed'em Garden Club and will be announcing more garden tours & plant buying opportunities for our EGGIE GROUP on Friday the 15th and/or Saturday the 16th.

Keep checking this site. Also feel free to give me an email for an update on this event.

Of course you'd be welcome! We've had tenters, Yurt renters, truck campers and stickie owners come, they all wanted to see what the "fuss" was all about when it came to these GREAT molded fiberglass trailers.

If anyone would like to attend the Oregon Gathering, it's still not too late. Although the Bullard's Beach Campground is now full we do have three of our OG campers who have had to cancel their plans to attend the Gathering. If you would like to take over their campsites please go to the Cancellations and Looking for a Site thread over at Casita Forum and go to the last post to see what's available.

Cancellations & Looking for a Site - Casita Travel Trailer Forum - Page 4

If you decide to take a site, please go the the Oregon Gathering discussion page and fill out an online registration otherwise we won't know you're attending.

Hope to see you there!
Ellen

Bandon's BEST Garden Tour

It's important to state that this is NOT a tour folks can take on their own, with their own time schedule!! The garden club and the owners of these gardens are making a special time for us to come as a GROUP only...they do NOT want people popping in and out all weekend!!!! A donation of $5 would be very welcome to the club's special scholarship fund!

(sent to Barbara Buehler from the Weed'em Seed'em Garden Club
You get the whole tour with the exception of refreshments!! Sorry, no goodies! All homes on our garden tour have agreed to your group visiting their properties. This is what I have lined up for you...

Friday, July 15th, 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Barbara Eakley
Louise and Dick Handley
Good Earth Community Garden
Bonnie Peaco
Carleen and Scotty
Patti and James Curran

Saturday, July 16th, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Joe and Karen Sinko
Connie and Jake Young
Darwin and Marilyn Noorda
Sherri Merritt

I realize that Friday looks real tight re: time. However, the first 5 are in town and are within blocks of each other. You can probably get to all of them between 1:00 - 2:30ish. Patti Curran's house is about 2 miles south of town and you'd have plenty of time to see it (rough time 2:40ish - 3:15 ish. I think you can be done easily before 4:00.

Saturday you will start north of town at the Sinko residence. This is a fabulous property on Trout Pond. Connie and Jake's home is also in that vicinity (mature garden and plants for sell). In town is Darwin and Marilyn Noorda's garden. They said they may not be home, but you are welcome to view the property. Sherri Merritt's Lavender Farm is 9 miles south of town. 101 Plants 'n Things is a wonderful nursery on Hwy 101. You will pass it on Friday on the way to Patti Curran's home and again on Saturday as you head down to the Lavender Farm. The day of our tour, they are offering a 10% discount to ticket holders. Pat and Jeff Kerker are the owners and have agreed to extend the offer to your group. Their phone number is 541.347.9398. They will need to know the name of your group and they will have to identify themselves. Perhaps a business card or a ticket you produce would work for identification. Please let me know what the identification will be so I can follow up with Pat and Jeff.

I have attached the booklet we provided with the tickets. It will give you the directions to the homes. I have also included the maps. It is important that you take note that you will not be seeing the properties in the order they appear in the booklet.

I did a quick search but didn't stumble upon it. What key words should I search for?

Hmm. Still doesn't work for me, unless I'm not scrolling down far enough. Doesn't matter, your url points me right there.
