I sold my 16' Scamp and replaced it with a 21' Bigfoot. I reserved my site when I still had the Scamp and I just realized that even though the site we have at Bullards for the rally is 35', it is only recommended for 16' or smaller. It is a full hook-up site. Does anyone want to swap sites? We have site A21 for six nights starting Monday July 16 through Saturday night July 21. This is a good chance to move up to A loop. If interested, please contact me jayjacobs@sbcglobal.net

Jay, I just talked to Jerry who is currently a camp host at Bullard's and he will go check the site and call me back a little later. You may be able to use that site. I will post here and let you know what he says. It is a good site and hate to see you give it up. We are in A25 and have stayed in A23, A24 also and I remember last year there was a fairly good sized rig in that spot. The problem is usually the parking approach to the site and that is why they say the size they do.

OK Jay, Jerry just called me back and he measured the site and it is 42' long on the driveway. The concrete curb at the rear can also be backed over some if you wanted to if your trailer is high enough (they are about 6-8 inches hi). The issue is the approach from the road and he says he could back a 21' in there ok, or you can come get me and I will help you if need be.
See you soon!

Thanks for the info on the sight Gene
I'm pretty confident that I can back up the trailer into the space. I've fit it into some pretty tight spaces but felt if someone out there had a bigger site that they wanted to trade, it might make things easier.

Jay,

The same warning is on my site, it says a 16 is max, but I have a 17 8.

Having seen it, I am not the slightest bit concerned, it's simply a sharp angle. I may ask for a spotter on the drivers side, but I am sure there will be no shortage of volunteers.

You can also "Cheat" and approach from the wrong side. I don't know about Bullards, but most campgrounds are accomidating and will let you go the wrong way as long as you have someone in front of you to warn others.

Check with the park if you have to do this.

Not too far from your site is a parking area for A loop. You can put your tow in that area and not have to worry about it being too far away.

Jay,

I've stayed at Bullard's a lot and found that nearly every site I've ever been in has been longer than what they say will fit. In addition, with a trailer you can disconnect and back your tow in further by moving to the right or left or diagonal, which is more than any motorhome could.

I wouldn't worry about it especially with the info Gene got from the camp host.
