1981 4500 Trillium Baggage Doors

Hi All..... I am in search of 2 fiberglass locking Baggage Doors, for the exterior of my Trillium 4500 1981. Either white or bone. I am going to place them on either side of the trailer, at the rear, so that I can access the storage under the dinette seats. Measurements are 12" high and either 22" or 24" long.

Thanks

Brenda

1881? That is one old Trillium :-)

I'm in the process of doing the same Brenda. I picked up some larger new but older style hatches on ebay. The older style have square corners and you can remove the screws and cut them down to the exact size you want. The style matches the windows. I plan on using the fiberglass I cut out in the hatch door itself.

If you are in or passing through the GTA you are welcome to come have a look. I'm not far from the 400/401 interchange.

Double check your measurements, what you see on the outside may not be what is available on the inside. And the body/floor slopes in that area. I used 2 people - 1 inside and 1 outside with strong magnets to determine the limits of the opening.

Not sure where you are in Ontario but 'tisdale trailer in tilbury has a wide assortment of salvaged doors you could give them a call. Another great place for salvaged doors is Bonneregers trailer salvage in lower western Michigan on the Michigan / Indiana border.

Are you people replacing the existing hatch doors or making new openings at the rear? I'm considering replacing the two existing hatch doors with newer ones as one was damaged recently in a rear end accident.
