2013 13’ Scamp deal or not?
We have a 2013 13’ Scamp we are looking at getting. It’s in great condition. The guy only used it 5 times, or so he says. It’s the 13’ bath model and has an awning and heater and an extra propane tank. That’s all the add ones it has. He wants 11,000 (13,000 before haggling), but he lives on an island and it’s going to cost at least $1,000 in travel to get it back. NADA suggests 5,000, but we offered 7,000.
Any advise would go a long way.

Only the banks use NADA. I sold a 97 Bigfoot for $10k and NADA had it listed at $2500. Fiberglass trailers keep their value and they sell quickly. The best way to determine a value is to look through what previous campers sold for.

Nada means nota on a fg trailer and if the owner is not desperate to sell 7 grand would be a great deal

Thanks for the quick response!
Yeah I was thinking that the NADA was pricing pretty low. These are some pictures of the camper.

How bad do you want one? I would think finding one in AK is going to be difficult. And going to the lower 48 to find one will really cost a lot of $$.
IMHO, it's OK to pay a bit of a premium for convenience. Maybe seller can go on a camping trip and camp closer to you. I did this when I picked up my Escape. Owner was going to a camp out much closer to me, so I met them there and brought it home.

$11K is not a bargain, but it’s in line with others I’ve seen. It appears to have most desirable options except A/C and to be pretty clean. At that price I would insist on connecting to water and electric and testing everything. Has it had indoor storage, and is the exterior gelcoat in glossy condition? Check tire dates. If they’re original they’re due for replacement due to age, in spite of limited miles.
