5 year owner but new member

My wife and I bought a 1995 Freedom Deluxe about 5 years ago. We have 572 nights in it. It was our first trailer and may be our last ... it suits us. We pull it with a 2000 Tundra.

to the forums, Kevin!
Wow- 572 nights!
Pretty good record for five years of ownership
If you've got favorite places and pictures, we'd sure like to see them in the "camping" thread.
Well, I know I would, anyway- since I'm contemplating a trip to California this year...

Have fun!

Francesca

Cool Our Nightage

Kevin,

Welcome to FGRV. I know you will enjoy this blog as much as I do.

You have made me curious as to how many nights we slept in Homelet since 10Dec2008 when we received her.

The answer: 170 nights

170 905 = 19% of our time spent in Homelet.

I decided to do a logbook of all our days in our Casita based on a friend's "captain's log" of the boating trips. I also track where they were spent and the price of the campgrounds. For those 573 nights we averaged about $11 per campground. We dry camp about a third of the time. One of our favorite places is around Borrego Springs in Southern California, over 600,000 acres where you can do such.

Hi, Kevin

A logbook!
What a great idea...
Now there's a "campground guide" that must make great reading, especially if you included your impressions of the various campgrounds
