new Axle

What are you thinking for a new axle?
I have been looking at independent suspension vs torsion vs straight
I kinda ruled out spring because I do not like the ride on past trailers.

Hi my friends
I’m also working on a full restoration of a 1972 Amerigo.
I have the original yellow stove and the top yellow fan also.
I’m from NJ. If any body is interested make me and ofer. But they have to be pick up.
They are in very good condition

This forum has about the most info & pics that you will find on amerigos. Search all of the posts in the amerigo section & you'll learn a lot. Start with the newest posts & work your way down to the oldest ones. You'll probably see a few of the campers that went from one owner to another. Fiberglass RV - Amerigo Trailers

Amerigo - Bob Miller

Bob Miller, thanks for the background on what happened to Amerigo. I have a '71 Amerigo truck camper with the Snap 'n Nap. We bought new, made several trips across country, are now on our 3rd truck. Had plenty of room for our family of 5, now enjoying it with grandkids. Never understood why Amerigo shut down, thought it was a good engineering design, especially the pop-out bed. - Susan
