And Yet Another Bought First Scamp!

Hi, I am an older guy who has had several of every type RV made. Just bought a 13 foot Scamp with potty and shower, these were must have items for us It is being delivered from Arizona this week, we live in the lower Rio Grande Valley near Brownsville TX, I have not even seen it yet except for photos. I am definitely adding an AC and generator, got them bought already! I am putting a 5000 btu window AC in the bottom of the closet and using an EU2000i Honda generator to power it. I would like any references to installing the AC one might share, I realize air flows will be critical. I know almost nothing about Scamps, so expect me to flood the forum with questions.

Hi Don from Texas, welcome to FiberglassRV. You're going to find lots of kind and helpful people here. I know a couple will offer suggestions for the A/C unit and the rest will be cheering on your modifications!

Thanks for sharing the pic

Thanks. We are picky, so I expect pretty much of a total restoration project coming up.

hey, don, sure looks nice, if that's the style you've chosen. personally, i'd not make any changes until after you've spent a number of nights in it. you never know what you'll find you love...and what might surprise you that you hate!

I am not anticipating any real changes, just refinishing, maybe new foam covers, and adding an AC to the closet area probably. I shopped a lot for just the right camper and floor plan to suit us.
