Back again

I was active a few years ago, lurked for a while, Now I'm back! We are doing some mod's on camper, put a real foam mattress in. No more lumpy skimpy bed found a 8 inch mattress on Sam's club on line, very happy with the quality and comfort and was not to hard to cut with electric knife. We took out the table and put 3/4 plywood added 1x2's and small u bars to the bottom and slid in 2 stainless steel 1/2 sheet catering pans for drawers. Up coming plans include rear awning & the big ones replace icebox with fridge and make the micro a built in. As always happy camping. Ruth & Jim

Oh you know you have to post pictures, right?
Always great to see table storage ideas like your drawers.

Thanks, nice looking rig. We do the same thing with our pop-up awning. It's a little heavy and bulky to haul around but it just fits perfect. Worked great with the rain we had Memorial week-end.

So did you screw the alum channel which acts as slides for the pans to the wood strips, then screw the wood strips to the table?

Those look like buffet line warming pans, should be easy to find.

You had it right u channels to 1x2's to base and the pans came from sams club. We are radio collectors and painted the scamp to look like a "refrigerator radio" from the 40's it's always a big hit at the radio shows.

Thanks for explaining it, the look is before my time (born in late '50s) so I was puzzled.
