Bigfoot 17 owner

Hi all,

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for the wonderful community! Very informative, helpful, and friendly.

We have owned our 91 Bigfoot for about 1 year and have lots of questions from plumbing to electrical to towing. Looking forward to interacting with everyone here (instead of lurking).

Jason

I'm in the lower mainland. Not too many BFs around. Would love to plan a trip to the island sometime. What are some good sites?

too many to list I'm afraid....

lots of Provincial Park campgrounds (overpriced IMO, unless you're over 65 and before June and after Labour Day at 1/2 price)

lots of "funky" old campgrounds with all services and some in great out of the way places

and then, north of Campbell River, there's lots and lots of lakes with rec sites on them...most free...some minimal charge...and thousands of miles of logging roads

google "Pacific Highway Vancouver Island"....or something like that....that's a nice trip with all of the above included in one "circle tour"...easy drive

only bummer is the cost of the ferries

Nice to meet you durb! Have you done any mods to your Bigfoot? Looks like our trailer are of similar vintage.

17' Bigfoot

Hi Jason: I've had it since new so I've had to maintain it so have replace the fridge, Hot water heater/tank, and just did the A/C unit last year. Put new tires last year and I put 215/75/14 D tires and had to trim a bit on the wheel wells. Just wanted a bit better tire for the amount of stuff the wife packs. Just a few comfort things over the years, and just keep it clean. How about your B/F? Anything out of the ordinary? ....Phil.
