Custom Built Gypsy Style Caravan

Hi, I am a new member to this group. I live in Tasmania and have recently had built a fibreglass gypsy caravan. I designed it myself, drawing ideas from a few different styles of wagons or vardos, incorporating a few of my own ideas as well. A company called Penguin Composites built it for me - including the trailer. i contracted out the Huon Pine joinery work, but have been fitting out the interior and doing embellishments myself. I tow it with a 4 cyl Nissan X-Trail SUV. I plan to live in it next year. Just finished fitting a small wood heater to it this week. Chris

Hi Chris, very cool trailer you have there.

The focus of this forum is on "moulded fiberglass trailers", but we sure love to see other neat things.

I for one would love to see a few more photos of what you have built there, and what went into the build.

Welcome to FGRV Chris,
Your wagon is what started the whole traveling rv years ago, very cool that it can be duplicated. We would love to see a personal picture tour. Any questions on wiring or interior, fire away. Can you give us more details on the composite construction? Thanks

Looks sharp Chris! I built a teardrop trailer sized one out of MDO plywood...had a fun year of camping in it but like being able to stand in my ParkLiner. Could I see some more photo's?

thanks!
