Smile Greetings!

Hi everyone, newbie here Both to this site and first time trailer owner. I'm from Trail, British Columbia.
I've started small, just purchased a 15 foot 1972 scamper travel trailer. Needs a fair bit of work as you can imagine. I have my first venture out with the camper in a couple weeks, just a local provincial camp site this time, but we plan on touring the Oregon coast the end of July.

I came across this site while searching for information on the campers power converter. Everything was working if I was plugged in, but nothing at all on battery alone, and yes, the battery was fully charged
Turns out, the main 12v fuse was missing, not burned out, gone. Popped in a 30 amp fuse and got power back!
Next on my agenda, is wiring in an aux 12v power socket... I use a CPAP machine when I sleep, keeps me from snoring hehe. It has an inline power reducer from 110 to 12 v, or can use a cigarette lighter outlet. Any suggestions as to where I could wire in such a socket?

Thanks!

Welcome, James, and congratulations on the new trailer!

You might want to clarify what you have. Scamp makes 13' and 16' molded fiberglass travel trailers and a 19' modified fifth wheel, but no 15' model. There is also Skamper, which made wood-framed trailers, pop-ups, and truck campers (my family owned a 1971 Skamper tent trailer). I've never run across anything called Scamper with a "c."

Pictures are helpful. Instructions are in post #7 here: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ics-43021.html

I don't do wiring, but there are plenty of knowledgable people here. Hopefully one of them will be along soon.

Best wishes!
