Greetings from Minnesota!

So excited to be able to say we own a Burro! Hubby and I have been wanting a small fiberglass camper for years, but the timing or cost has kept it from us. well, a few weeks back, hubby saw one by a job he was doing and not being shy, popped in and asked about it! Long story short, the family was very happy to see it go to a good home! Wow! It is an '85 13'. In pretty decent shape, needs a little maintenance. Daughter and I are off to the fabric shop tomorrow to pick out curtain and seat cover material. We sure could use ideas for a stove...
This site has already been so helpful and I have been reading and looking for hours. Our first big trip will be August to lake Superior for a week. No power, primitive camping area. Will be nice to be off the ground this year. We have been flooded out more than once at this site in our tent. Getting too old for that.
Happy Camping!! Kari

Hi Kari

Welcome to FGRV and your Burro! What a great place to head for your first trip the north shore (I'm assuming you're heading north of Duluth) is just beautiful, we've camped there when our kids were growing up - we lived in Thunder Bay.

We actually go to the south shore in Wisconsin. East of Ashland. We love the North Shore tough. Boundary Waters trip in 2 weeks!

Thanks!
Need to take pictures! Just brought it home last night. Cleaning it up, it was covered in moss and dirt.

But, but we like those START pictures... then when you post pictures of a shiny trailer we can appreciate all the hardwork you put into it.

Beside, YOU need those pictures as a remembrance

East of Ashland must be very nice as well as north shore - we were through Ashland last year, unfortunately in the middle of the night. Many years ago though we did stop in Ashland for breakfast. Hope you enjoy no more flooding out like you had in the tent!

Is the boundary waters trip to be by canoe? We have canoed in Quetico. What a great area Quetico/boundary waters!

Welcome to the forum Kari.
And glad to see a fellow "tech dork."

It's been rumored that eggs float.

Sure hope the egg floats! One year at the shore it rained 4 of the 7 days we were there! Not sprinkles either...

It is a large unpopulated area of Lake Superior. private owned, but surrounded by the Bad River reservation. Sand beach. Amazing.

Hi Gilda,
What would you do if you had a Snoozy instead of a Scamp?

And I was wondering, is their such a thing as a "Navy Bistro?"
