Welcome, Brandon!

A 13' Scamp, Casita, Boler, Trilium,... with front bunks is the ticket. Finding one before someone else does is the challenge, as you've probably already realized.

We are also a family of four and we have had our 13' Scamp for three years. It's snug but comfortable. Anyway, camping for us is about spending most of our time outside.

Happy hunting!

Brandon, Welcome to the forum! Have you ever seen a Scamp or other small Fiberglass camper? If not; we're from Northern Illinois and would be happy to show you ours. It is NOT for sale, but if you wanted to see one up close, and have any questions answered, we'd be happy to help you out.

Good luck with your search...

TomK

Us too. We have always done tent camping but now have 2 kids ages 1 & 3 and want to expose them to what nature has without the hassle of a tent.

I have only ever seen one but only got to peek inside. But the short chat with the man about it got me interested. That's how I ended up on this site.

I may have some questions if I ever find one to bring home.

This fall (Sept) we are thinking of selling our Coleman Bayside popup. It is not a fiberglass trailer but it will be inexpensive (~3K) and a great way to start with a young family. Two king size beds, pull-out dinette, storage trunk. We have pulled it with both our Dodge minivan and various SUVs we had.
Let me know if might be interested.

Found a 13'

I was contacted by someone with a 13' Scamp a few hours from my house and I will be picking it up this friday!
Looking forward to using this forum for tips and advice.

You might want to join us on Uhaul's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UHaulCamper/. There is a guy on there who has built the best bunk system in his Companion camper that I have ever seen. Something like that would be just the thing for your youngsters.
