hello everyone

My name is Greg ,my wife and I have a 2010 Casita 17 LD. We have named it the Led Egg, We are in Colorado,we pull the led egg with a Ford Expedition. Usually we camp from April thru November here in Colorado. Our first trip in 2012 will be to the Rushmore area, something Ive never seen and always wanted to.
We have loved the egg so far and have put almost 8,000 miles on it. we have done only minimal modding. Ive added a water ball valve between the water pump and tank and a 8" deck plate to the top of the tank to keep it clean. I added a slide for the battery so I don't have to bend over and take it out to check the water levels. I added a fantastic fan cover so I can leave the vent open year round and a bumper mounted spare tire holder to keep the tire from rubbing the fiberglass. This years mods will be converting the king bed to 2 twins with a smaller folding yacht type table and a small window in the front bath wall to keep an eye on all things in front of the egg and the Tow V. Weve been talking about attending at least 1 ralley this year,so if you see our rig stop for coffee.

Hi Greg (and wife) welcome to FiberglassRV. It sounds like you've got mod fever and I'm sure you'll create the perfect egg for the two of you. Please post before and after pictures... we love to look!

ˇHola! from Las Cruces, New Mexico. Welcome to the Forum.

Rushmore is worth a see, we went to say we had been many moons ago when our kids were small. Later, our son was stationed in Minot, ND and would often meet them around Custer. All kinds of things are around the area to see & do.

I like the drive through the state park south of Rushmore even better than Rushmore itself. It's nice around there!
