I think the tnttt site has free plans. I know you can buy plans on ebay.

btw..i have a sense of humor, so please do speak your mind. Maybe i'll get lucky enough to find a camper on here. I'm looking for a junked one for parts, so if anyone comes in contact with one, let me know.
You need to be constantly thinking about weight. Your axle for example, is heavier than it should be. While it will work, it means you are carrying around metal you don't need.

What are you towing with?

I like the suggestion about metal studs for framing.

One thing I like about your project is you have a blank slate and can do whatever you please. No one would cut up a perfectly good trailer to make massive changes. But re-purposing an old trailer is fun.

For example, you could put in a fold out bed on either or one side, or fold up solid awnings on either side which reveal windows when opened up, but when closed make it look like a utility trailer.

While 4x8 sounds small, I lived in an 8' pickup bed with a topper cap for six weeks while remodeling my house. It was less than 4' tall. That makes your trailer big from that perspective.

I got some free plans (Generic Benroy) on the TNTTT site (Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers • Index page) and built a 5x8 teardrop. I did seal it in Fiberglass Epoxy so it is KIND of fiberglass.
