Hi PerH, these indespension units are a basic principle, a solid square bar in a square tube, at 45° to one another and 4 solid rubber rods/tubes pulled through the triangles created - if you know what I mean! They are a very solid unit with not much give in them -and only minimal travel either way up! They are rated 350kg and work a treat! The roads here in the UK are good and the closest we get to wild camping (boondocking you call it) is pulling into a field lol - oh and the odd speed hump

Hi Pete, yes I've been on the VW T4 forum almost since I bought my T4 back in 2006. Maybe my biggest contribution might have been to inspire other T4/T5 owners to have hot showers on the road

The wheel axle (Knot) on my "Freedom Microlite" has got the same kind of rubber torsion-bars suspension that you've got. They work without shock absorbers, but shock absorbers can make the caravan to jump less on bumpy roads.
