Hello from interior of British Columbia

My wife and I are still six weeks away from taking possession of our new Escape 17B. We are pretty excited and decided to join this forum early (so no pics yet).

Most of our camping is boondocking in remote forest service campsites or stealth camping on our way to such a location. We also use our RVs as base camps for canoe trips and backpacking trips in the BC or Alberta Rockies.

Reace and Tammy at Escape trailers customized our unit to be reasonably off-road worthy and as off-grid as possible. (Solar panels might be added later 'cuz we kinda tapped out on options budget.)

We have previously owned a 13' Boler, slide-in truck campers, and a stick built 17'. We are glad to be going back to 'glass.

So... hi everyone! Our Escape trailer's name is "'Ping".

Smile Welcome to FGRV!!

We well remember waiting for our new Trillium!

It is an exciting time. But the real excitment is in using your egg!

Welcome, Gord-and-Wife!

Don't wait 'til you have your new rig to jump right in- with your experience, I'll bet you'd have useful advice for Baj, a "new" drycamper who started a please-advise thread at http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post250305!

It's a pretty long thread, but who knows- we might have left something out...

Francesca

P.S.

Pay no attention to the -er- occasional heated disagreements in the thread.
We always kiss-and-make-up sooner or later!

F.K.K.

We looked at this particular outback when we where at Escape. It is (was?) a cute little unit but really no comparison to the Escape 15b or the 17b which we finally chose.

We tent camped New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and PEI last summer and were envious of those in the small trailers. Maybe we will drive back there someday with the Escape.

cheers,
Gord

Hi, Gord & wife! Sounds like you're going to be getting a really nice trailer! All the best to you; looking forward to when you can post pics of your new rig.
