Hello from Nova Scotia

Hi I’m Dana. My husband and I purchased a 1992 17 foot Bigfoot this spring. Did some needed work and enjoyed it immensely this summer. Now winterizing. This is all new to us. Any must do pointers? Anyone know of a video tutorial for older Bigfoots? Happy to be here.

Draining all water lines and tanks and getting antifreeze in the system (especially the pumps and sink traps and a small amount in the heater) is definitely a must do.

Not a must do, but many people set the trailer on stands and reduce the tire pressure (down to 15 - 20 psi or so), including the spare. More ideas and suggestions are surely on the way.

I first blow the system out with compressed air. to get all water out of lines, then I take the pick up line off tank and place the tube into antifreeze bottle and run pump till I get a good flow though all taps and toilet. A cup full of antifreeze in each trap and in toilet.
I park the trailer so tires are on boards so tires will not rot, I support the corners with the stabilizers, I take battery inside basement, we take the cushions into the basement, I then cover with a car-cover I found for $5. I then go down and scrape snow off roof if it get to be over a foot or more over the winter.
