Smile Hello from South Bend, IN

We just got our first egg camper a 1977 Trillium 1300. We are moving up from a Coleman Colorado Popup that weighs 580lbs. We are thinking about going to the 8th Annual Fiberglass Rally & Fish Fry at the Spring Mills State Park to check out what others have done to fix up thier campers.

Welcome to the forum, it's a fun place to be. I am still searching for my "egg" and we had 3 different pop-ups. Saw "South Bend, IN" and had to check it out. I was born in South Bend and grew in in Cassopolis, MI. Now I am in KS.

Does the name Studebaker ring any bells?

If you just happen to have any R-motors laying around, getting in your way, I won't even charge much to take them away for you....

It would be pretty cool to see a Studebaker pulling my Trillium.

No R-motors laying around but I work in Elkhart IN and they have about everything in the RV universe laying around if you know who ask.

Attending the fish fry is not only of benefit to you but great fun. By all means, join us (I should not be making this invite. I am not catching the fish )!

Enjoy the Trillium

Welcome and good to have you onboard, and nice to have another Trillium hanging around

If you are doing the rally circuit you may want to consider the Manitoba Rally on 17-19 August at St Malo Provincial Park just 45 minutes north of the Canada/USA border. Great trailers and people with lots of projects and ideas.

Hi Gary, congrats on your Trillium 1300. Looks like you got it in the spring of this year, do hopefully you've had a wonderful inaugural year with her! We are in the market for a Trillium 1300 ourselves, and our father/father-in-law in South Bend is helping us in our quest. Any chance you'd be willing to let him come over and peek at your camper???? He lives in Granger. None of us have actually seen the inside of one in real life yet! Please let us know. Thanks!!!!

Hi Gary, Just want to say hello from Mishawaka. We just found our Scamp 16 about a month ago and have been slowly getting it ready for our first trip. I've had some problems with one of the wheel hub lug bolts and found a new hub in Elkhart. I'm also having some problems with the new wheels that I ordered. Have you considered going to the egg gathering in October at Brown County S.P?

Smiles, Tom

Rallies

I was considering going to the rally in Brown County later in the year but not sure if I can make it yet. There is also a rally in Ohio in the fall that would be about the same distance and that date might work out better. I found a RV Service place in Elkhart that has done some work for me. The guy that owns\runs the place has worked for a couple of big RV company's and seems pretty knowledge about most things regarding RV's. He fixed my running lights, worked on my heater and frig. He did look at my axle and indicated that if I wanted to upgrade my axle he could do that. I do not think he does fiberglass work though.

I'd sure like to make it to the Michigan gathering but we will be in Florida at that time. I did look upthe location and saw that it is not far from where our kids and grandkids live. Maybe next year.
