Hello from Sunny FL

My lovely bride and I are in the market for a small trailer camper to pull behind our FJ Cruiser. We've done a few trips living in the FJ with a Maggiolina Gran Tour Roof Top Tent and loved it. Last trip took us to Denali and we're planning another one now.

Am looking at joining the camper trailer ranks because, frankly, it just makes sense. We'll keep the FJ and probably sell the Magg. Looks like a 17' to 19' would be the best we could do with the FJ from what I've researched so far.

I'll scour the forum for info on the Oliver 17, my first choice so far due to its ruggedness, high clearance, and boat-like fabrication. As a sailor, I'm very familiar with fiberglass and trust its inherent strength and durability. Lovely bride's hooked on the AS Bambi.

Any comments, suggestions, or thoughts on the Oliver vs Bambi, living quarters room in the Oliver 17, towing with an FJ experiences, or just a friendly Hello! would be greatly appreciated. As a member of our MacGreggor, Jeep, and FJ forums, I always contribute as I can and look forward to helping here when the opportunity arrises.

Thanks and look forward to being part of the team!

Hi Michael and Marta, from cloudy Portland, Oregon.

to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here.

There are lots of kind and helpful people here on the forums... more than willing to share knowledge and information. Some will be along shortly.

I'd suggest looking at every possible brand. Each manufacturer has referrals in that owners are willing to show off their trailers. Nothing beats personally viewing.

Best of luck on your egg hunt!

Wink Thanks, Donna

Appreciate you taking the time to respond. Oregon is a beautiful place, and you do get your fair share of rain! Funny, as I write this, we've been inundated with almost 6" of daily rain for almost a week straight.

I'll take your advise on reviewing all the different manufacturers and recommendation to locate some owners willing to share.

Michael

Where in Florida do you live?
I don't think that EggCamper has an owner referral service, but if you're near the panhandle you can take a look at ours.
