Hello from Tennessee

Hello, I'm Tom from East TN. I am a long distance backpacker looking to enjoy the luxury of a fiberglass RV. I am interested in purchasing an Escape (either a 19 or 21).

Hi: ATHiker... You'll need to be a long distance runner, as the Escapes have just started appearing on the eastern 1/2 of the US. When the used one's come on the market they're snapped up fast!!!
We had at least 4 buyers lined up for our 5.0...but it was already sold, no advertising required.

Hi Alf S.,

Thanks for the reply. I guess I subscribe to the theory that if you don't ask for it, you can't have it. I do understand that there are very few used Escapes for sale. I contacted Escape and delivery for a 19 or 21 is the spring of 2015. They are not taking deposits until late May / early June. So I will look until then for a used unit, it I don't find one, then I will order a new one.

Hello from Tennessee

There is a 19 for sale in Tx. Saw it on craigslist. Let me see if I can find the ad.

Oops, it was a Bigfoot.

There is an Escape 5.0 in Weston, FL.

Hi: ATHiker...One nice thing about Escape Trailers is the build quality. Fit&Finish are so vital to Escape that Reace won't rush the build schedule. That leaves only so many slots per month and when they're full... they're full. They do have cancellations from time to time but they get snapped up by those on the waiting list. Best to get your name on the list, then decide when they require the deposit.
Here's a pic. of our new baby...

Too bad you were not in Townsend, TN last week, there were 8 Escapes there for a rally you could have viewed. !!

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I've contacted Escape and am on their list.

Actually, I did attend the rally in Townsend. I went specifically to look at Casitas. But after looking at a couple of Escapes, decided that they were a better fit for my needs. I was able to tour a couple of 19' Escapes and one 5.0. I really liked the 5.0, but my wife preferred the 19'. We are debating a 19' vs 21'.

HeHe thats not the first time those words have been uttered at a fiberlgass trailer rally! Thus the reason for the new order wait time

If you haven't already found it on the Escape web page there is a link to the Escape User Forum. If a used Escape comes onto the market more often than not that is where you will see it listed first and in many cases the only place you will see it listed.

After seeing your build sheet on the Escape Forum, I would very much like to have toured yours!

I have found the Escape Forum and am experiencing "overload" on all the options available!

Central Tennessee has a quality molded fiberglass manufacturer that you might look into. They are S/W of Nashville about 65 miles in Hohenwald, Tn. Made in the USA, it is a true four season trailer, and, the only double hulled trailer in it's class. Here is the link should you want to take a look.

Thanks for the tip on Oliver Trailers. I saw the exterior of one at Townsend, but was unable to view the interior. They look great. Maybe I need to find an excuse to visit the factory.
