Hello, I'm Sam from the East Coast

Just got me a 1989 Honey Sportscruiser on a Ford E350 Econoline. Got it transferred to my name & going for an inspection soon here in New Jersey. Has been idle for more than a year but starts & runs. She's due for a good cleaning & a tune-up! First time RVer with no experience & no manuals
Once it's road worthy, plan to do a road trip to some near by National Parks.
Looking forward to sharing the wealth of knowledge from other RVers & my experiences with my new toy.

Sam

A friend got a Honey cheap last year that had been left in a seasonal campground without paying the rent for a couple years. Must be a couple years older than yours as it is a carbureted engine. It's been endless problems, doesn't run right, and gets terrible gas mileage. His wife hates it. Hope you have better luck.

Welcome, Sam!

This forum is actually about all-molded fiberglass towables, but we do have a number of other RV types that like to hang out with us. Probably not the best place for mechanical questions about the Ford chassis, but we can certainly help with the RV side of things.

Hope you have a great trip!

Hiya Sam! Does this look like yours? Are the sides aluminum or corrugated fiberglass?

Congrats on your little moho. This is a site for owners of molded fiberglass travel trailers, so the general topics may interest you, and since at least some of your unit is fiberglass some of the fiberglass care topics will be of interest, but there's not much here on mohos in particular. I'm an odd-man-out as I still hang around because I had molded fiberglass trailers for years, but now have a 32' moho and a 19' B-van moho.

I'm not familiar with your coach in particular either, although their is an ad for one (where I stole this image) on RV trader right now... That seems to be a nice floorplan and is nicely done. Congrats!

If you have moho-specific questions, feel free to contact me by PM and I'll answer them if I can.

Welcome to the forums!

Roger

First check the tires...remember age and not mileage is the enemy.
Next the wheel bearings and brakes.

Best of luck.....and....Happy Camping!

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to the RV life...
I'm sure there will be some challenges, but I'm ready. Thanks for the pointers!
