Hey from Etobicoke (Toronto)

Hi All

New to the Fiberglass scene coming from the VW Westy world. Did a 12,000km road trip a in a Westy with our 11 month old a couple years ago and blogged about it at www.laidbackdad.com (never did finish the blog for the final run up route 66).

Sold the Westy a while ago and looking for a Trillium 1300 or 4500 if anyone has any recommendations, willing to travel to find one, in Ottawa fairly frequently. Open to all tips and advice. Sifting through Kijiji is a little daunting.

Anyone personally know any of these trailers or have opinions?

Trillium | Buy or Sell Used or New RVs, Campers & Trailers in Toronto (GTA) | Kijiji Classifieds

Is this a respray and not original Gel Coat? Should I ask this somewhere else?

1976 Model 130 Trillium Trailer | travel trailers, campers | City of Toronto | Kijiji

Looking forward to meeting new people.

Jason

The escape hatch is installed on the front window. I have seen this before, but that makes no sense to me.
The installed options:
Shelves, front and back
Fridge
Furnace
Doors on gaucho

Missing options:
Kitchen window
Door window
Converter
Fall prevention bar for upper bunk

The screen door is not factory.
A PO has replaced many of the original lights with florescent fixtures. There is no light above the gaucho.

Yes, it is also painted on the outside. The original colour would have been the same as the inside fibreglass. They even painted the front rock guard.

There appears to be a patch in the Enslolite above the front window. I would want to know the story behind that.

It looks to be in good condition, but I am only looking at pictures.

If you go look at it, I would appeceate it if you took a picture of the data sheet that should be on the inside of the closet door. That way I can add it to the Trillium serial number list:

I am posting the pictures from the ad for reference.

Greetings Jason from east side of GTA. You'll get lots of great info here. We were first time FGRV buyers, bought a 1982 Boler and so far have completely redid the interior and all the mechanicals. I like to think I'm pretty handy so a good frame and shell was my only requirement. Everything else can be rebuilt or replaced. This board is a great reference. After finishing up the interior we did a trip through Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New Brunswick and Quebec last year. Heading for the Florida keys later this year. There is only two of us so the 13 footer is good for us. A 15 foot Trillium might offer a bit more elbow room for you if you're travelling with kids.

More pictures

As suggested, a Trillium 4500 offers slightly more room, and some nice design features, like a water tank under the floor, but still inside the shell.

Hey Raff, thanks for the welcome. Have any current pictures of your boler, your gallery pics looks like you have a good trailer to start with.

Wow David, thanks for the great feedback. Based on the current Kijiji ads I listed which one would you look at first (if you don't mind taking the time to look)? Unfortunately none of them are overly close to home so some expert guidance would be appreciated.

Anywhere else to look online for Trilliums in Ontario?

Not sure if I'm doing this right Jason. Try this link to see modifications to our Boler.

I am always shopping for Trilliums. I own six. I have a problem. kijiji is my tool of choice. Here are some Trilliums that I am currently watching:
Trillium Trailer | travel trailers, campers | Kamloops | Kijiji
This is my favourite colour combination. Yellow interior colonial white exterior.

1975 Trillium Camper Trailer ! | travel trailers, campers | Brandon | Kijiji
Looks like it needs work but the fundamentals look good. Price is right.

Trillium Trailer | travel trailers, campers | Renfrew | Kijiji
Price is right.

None are very close to you.

Raff I just read you whole thread, very impressive. When I get my trailer I will drop it off at your place for a few weeks, what's your shop rate. haha

David thanks for the links. I think I'm looking for more of a turn key for my first one. With a 3 year old my tinkering time has been greatly reduced.

Waiting for more pictures of the one in Wasaga Beach. They're starting to blend together in my head.

I am always shopping for an inexpensive Trillium. My posts in the "Referrals" section are what I consider to be a good deal. Typically they require some work.

I totally relate to how kids require time. I have five. The oldest is 20, the youngest is 6.
