Hi everybody !!

Hello fiberglass enthusiasm !! I have been searching for long time for fibreglass rv information on this site but I am now full member.

I'am a trillium jubilee '81 proud owner. Got it 3 years a go, spend much time under it than camping with it ( because i want it perfect !!) It has roughly original equipment but what i change was upgrade. I add a marine battery on tongue, fantastic fan (with perfectly fit in the original hole), change the 120v braker (because i broke the reset nipple), convert the inside rear light with led, ...

For the mechanic information.. I have a anti-swing and electric brake. I tow it with a 2010 dodge grand-caravan sxt 4L engine. It as automatic 6 speed with towing package. I also use a air deflector on top of it, it allow me to drive in 6'nd gear wich is impossible without (always alterning between 5 and 6 gear). Consummation is about 13.6 liter per 100 km.

Next travel will be old-orchard friday next.

So, really proud to be with your community and feel free to ask me question !!

Daniel,

That's a handsome trailer. The pictures are nice high-resolution ones. Thanks for posting the album.

That's an interesting observation about the air deflector. Most people run back and forth along a route when they are trying to evaluate a device; that doesn't always work very well.

However, it sounds like it's really accomplishing something if you can hold 6th instead of hunting between gears.

Regards,
Mike

Hi everybody !!

Where did you get the air deflector that is on the top of your tow vehicle?

Besides eliminating the up-shifting and down-shifting, what was the effect on mpg with and without the deflector?

Just curious ...... 😉

Hi Rdickens,
I found it on kijiji for 50$. On the highway without the deflector my consummation is ~17 liter/100 km. I put my transmission on 5th gear to avoid it to constantly switching between 5 and 6 th gear. With the deflector it give ~13.5 liter/100km. I calcul I need 1300 km to paid the deflector...
Hope it help you :-)

13.5 liter/100 = 21 miles/g
17 liter/100 = 17 miles/g

Daniel. Is that a commercial item available for purchase?

If you have a kijiji link or item number or brand-name, that might be helpful.
I would seriously like to find/buy one of those! 😊
