Hi from a couple of oldtimers, new to FGRV

Hey Ed and Pat here saying hello and how are ya. We are newcomers to FGRV but have been camping for about 38 yrs.,started in 72 with a Corvette pulling a small trailer filled with tenting equip., and now are preparing for our first trip with our NEW 13' Scamp Std.. Picked the Scamp up on the 3rd May and have been fine tuning for the last week, new table setup, storage and shower/ changing room curtans plus a couple of other amenities. We're hoping to leave next week on a trip from Arkansas to Ft.Lewis Wa. where our Son is stationed (2nd Lt.), he and His Wife are due to have our first Grand Child, Sophie, on or about the 28th of this month. We can hardly wait to get on the open road and try out this little wonder of a set up.

Same here, although our trailer is not new. We are heading out at the end of May to camp near our son, where our first grandchild is due June 1.

Hi ednpat3! Sounds like a great cross-country trip. Take your time travelling and arrive rested to see your new family member. Of course we'll need pictures when you get there.

Hey Kevin, thanks for looking at my thread, and in reply, I have posted a couple of photos in the trailer registry. The 1st thing we did was get rid of the plastic sheet Scamp calls a shower curtain and replace it with part of a curtain, that came with a rockwood camper we bought 25+ yrs ago, but never used (this camper was the LEMON tree that all other lemons came from), every now an then we would take it out of it's bag and wonder what we could use it for. Than I installed a plastic pipe from the top of the closet to a spot between two cabinet doors above the stove, and MDW used another part of the same curtain to fashion a curtain at this point to form a sort of changing room in front of the shower, see the photos. Things get a little tight but no tighter than in our Roadway but with more elbow room. Ed
