Welcome to the board. What part of TX is home? I'm not much of a fisherman but we've certainly enjoyed camping and hiking in your state. Big Bend is one of our favorite National Parks and we always try to stop by Palo Duro Canyon SP if we're in the Amarillo area. We've yet to be there when the play Texas is going on but the playwright, Paul Green, also wrote The Lost Colony which has been presented each summer here in NC since 1937. Hope to see you around some time.

Hello Al, I am from El Paso. I have to say that I feel some what embarrassed because I have lived the majority of my life in Texas but have yet to get to Big Bend. I do most of my camping in NM due to proximity. As a matter-of-fact I am prepping to leave tomorrow (Tuesday) to do some camping and fishing. I will probably stop at Caballo SP and who knows where from there. My plan is to make it a priority to explore my home state more this year. Shame on me! As a side note I was born in Fayetteville NC. I love the east coast.
