Hi, I am.. in search of a Casita to view

So, for newbies, what's the best way to find a local FGRV to view and help decide on size, make, model, etc.?

Thanks,
David

BTW: I live in Boulder, CO.

You can call Casita & they will give you referrals to local owners willing to show their Casita to you.

Or Scamp, or likely any of the manufactures.

But the best way (since you asked for the best way) is to go to a rally, see a whole bunch and talk to a number of owners, all in a day or two (even if you have to travel a ways).

Cruise around campgrounds and be admiring and friendly to owners of the types you are interested in.

Watch craigslist and make appointments to go and tire kick even if they are way overpriced, then at least you will get a tour of them. RV dealers have been known to take newer FGRVs as trade ins. Besides they might deserve having their time wasted if they are trying to gouge people

Absolutely agree. I was shopping for a 13' until I went to a Rally. Now I have a Casita 16' and can't imagine it being any smaller.

We started out looking for a 17' Casita or 16' Scamp, thought those were the only Fiberglass out there. Even made an offer on a used Casita in Virginia.

Then found out about the Escape, put in my order for a new 17B, and before our build date got here, spent some time in an Escape 19, and changed our order to the 19.

So definitely spend time in all of them before deciding.

And yes, definitely go to a rally. Absolutely the best way to see many.

Come up to Aspen and see my 17' Casita Freedom Deluxe. Life is better over 8,000'. Air is a little rare however.
