Hi I am Matthew and the new owner of a Boler 17"

Good day all,

My wife and I recently purchased a 1979 17' Boler. It seems to be in great shape and we are excited to get out and start using it this summer. I have already perused some of the forum threads here and found helpful information. I also have added a couple of pictures of the trailer as we were picking it up and will update as we clean things up and make it our own. I would like to say thank you all for having formed such a great and helpful community. I am sure there will be things that I need help with fixing and or maintaining and say thank you in advance for the help I am sure I will receive here.

Cheers
Matthew

Matthew, Welcome to FGRV!

Really cute, good pics, I really like your galley supports--not entirely unlike what we had hoped to use but it didn't work out for ours. I like the look!

Hope you can begin to use it soon, and that you have many wonderful trips with it!

More pics whenever, so happy to see them, and let us know if you name it!

BEST
Kai

The 17' Boler is one of my favorites. Congratulations on a great find in nice looking condition.

Welcome Matthew et al. A very nice looking Boler!
You'll find the FRV.com blog very helpful
I have similar 17 ' 1978 Boler made in Alberta
that sat virtually unused for 20 years at Shuswap Lake BC.
Been renovating and updating so can share info
- new floors, new curtains, new wheels and tires,
strengthened flooring at door entrance etc.

Thank you. It seems that the 15' is fairly rare so I am glad to be able to chat with someone else that has one. Ours was manufactured in Winfield BC. My in-laws found it in Oliver and it had been parked (but cared for) there since 2002. We had the bearings, and brakes serviced as well as replaced the tires before towing it back to Vancouver. My wife is working on new curtains and we plan to deal with the cushion covers over the winter. I have cleaned it and started to remove the silicone that the previous owner put around a couple of the windows (I will redo the butyl tape over the winter). The appliances work and I have fixed a small fresh water inlet leak on the toilette. Over all it is in very good condition. I would very much like to keep you posted on how things are with it and any repairs that I may need to do as well as possibly ask for input. How long have you had yours?

Jan,

Congrats to you. So far I am finding that there is a lot of valuable information and advice. Maybe we will see each other out on the road this summer.

Cheers
Matthew
