Welcome to the forum.
Owning a trailer is a lot like owning a boat. There is always a certain amount of maintenance and repair and, for those into it, modifications and improvements.
Just this week I built a new table and reworked the fresh water system. Started to pack the bearings and found one that was slightly questionable, so I changed them all.
The table in the
Little Joe, despite everything else being 6 ply birch, was made with prefinished (thin plastic overlay on the bottom) particle board. the top was covered with Formica with the usual plastic edging. Down in our climate the bottom had expanded giving the top a convex look. The good side; if you spilled on the table, it ran to the middle. The bad side; we were afraid that one night it would give way and deposit us very intimately in the center aisle.
On the fresh water system, I needed to get in there and do some other work, so while I was at it a built a new retainer for the water tank so I can remove it without pulling the sink cabinet. While at it I remounted the pump and the tank drain to make both more accessible for maintenance and draining. I also put in a new faucet.
Other mods: 80 watts of
solar, infinitely variable PWM switch for the Fantastic Fan, all LED
lighting.
For me, all part of the adventure.
Have fun.
