Thanks Madalyn, I was in contact with the owners as soon as it was on CL and it has no shower just a toilet. I appreciate your help and the others on this forum who are moving my search right along.

Thanks again,
MichaelD

we might have a something you might be interested in. We have a Deluxe 19', Scamp fifth wheel, 2,000 lbs, can be pulled with 1/2 t. This is a Classic as there aren't as many 5th wheels,(hitch included) it has toliet and shower, reupholstered cushions; 2 yr ago),water pump new this yr, 3 burner stove, refrig, catv, tv antenna, 10' awning (good), roof Emerson ac, 8,000 btu furnace, new carpet and curtains; excellent for it's age. All owners have given TLC. $7,500.00 can send more pic.

Sounds nice, but you better be careful hereabouts when you call your Scamp a 5th wheel, apparently some are in danger of becoming confused.

FWIW: I call it a 5th wheel, and I am very easy to confuse.

it is called a fifth because it connects to a hitch in the center of the truck bed.
all of our papers on it say" Fifth Wheel Deluxe" I guess this is why they call it a 'Classic" That's all I know about it. Let me know if this is incorrect!!

Technical quibble among technical quibblers, Randy. The identifier that Scamp uses for this particular model is in common use and consequently desirable for the purpose of communicating with buyers who may or may not be quibblers. If the deal's good enuf, even the quibblers will allow you to call it what you will without correction. Scamp 19' Deluxe is both accurate and official.

From the Scamp website:

"Scamp trailers can’t be beat for a convenient, fun camping experience. Call upon our experts to discuss whether our small, lightweight 13’ foot travel trailer is right for you or our mid-size 16’ towable camper with side dinette would fit the bill, or our if our largest 5th wheel travel trailers would be perfect."

Thanks for the notice on your Scamp 19. I think it is just too big for my tow vehicle. I am looking for a larger tug but, right now I have smaller vehicle that may not even pull a Scamp16.
Thanks again,
MichaelD

Michael,D,

What do you have for a tow vehicle?

We have a Scamp 16 and find a shower to be over rated. We always use campground showers.

I don't know what type of vehicle you may have, but the previous owner of our 19"
Scamp, pulled it with a V6 Dodge Dakota. I may have misled with our 1/2T, but that is what we have to pull it with.

I have a Subaru Outback and I may have truck later. The numbers just don't work out with the Outback and "real weight numbers" as posted on this forum for a Scamp 16 with shower.
