HI, I'm a new member from Southwest Florida

I've owned RVs in the past. Now looking for a small tow behind less than 3000 pounds.

Welcome, Rusty!

For the most part, 3000 pounds means 16' or smaller. A very helpful forum resource is the thread Trailer Weights in the Real World. It's a database of scaled, loaded-for-camping weights of various makes and models. Post #297 links to a spreadsheet of the data that can be sorted by length or model.

Best wishes in your "egg hunt"!

Welcome, Rusty. If you want to view fiberglass trailers, I would suggest you make a trip to Scamp Camp at Highlands Hammock SP in Sebring. Scamp Camp runs from Feb 12 - Feb 16; lots of fiberglass trailers (not just Scamps) and owners willing to allow interested parties to view them. I will be in Site 125 with my Escape.

Hi there! Getting to be lots of us in Florida. My Lilsnoozy dry weight is 2436 lbs according to the truck stop weigh-In from December 2016.

Currently at the "eggs n s'mores" rally at Spirit of the Suwanee Music Hall and campground. Started last year as a Casita rally but lots of other makes represented too. Visiting a rally is a really great way to see lots of models and how people decorate them.

Rusty, I agree with Carl and Mitzi. There will be about 75 fiberglass trailers at Scamp Camp next month. We'll be there in site 138 with our 16' Scamp. Lots of other brands too. There is one day scheduled for viewing all the participating trailers. It happens mid-day but we don't get the schedule until we arrive, so not sure of exact day and time. That said, I think most anyone attending would be happy to show off their trailer and answer your questions upon request any time. This is one friendly group you stumbled upon. Welcome!

Tom

Hi, Rusty,

Welcome to the FGRV forum, and good luck with your egg hunt!

Seek and ye shall find.
Just not always right away.

BEST
