Welcome!
Ignore manufacturers' dry weights and sellers' claims. If you check out the Trailer Weights link you'll see 1500-2000 pounds means a 13' trailer (total length- the cabin is 10', so they're really small). There are lots of choices, new and vintage. They range from very basic to full-featured (you can even have a full wet bath) and from projects needing a complete rebuild to like-new.
They're pretty popular right now, so finding a used one in good condition at a reasonable price will take some searching, followed by quick action. Scams abound on Craigslist, so be very cautious if it seems like an unusually good deal. The classifieds here and on
www.fiberglass-RV-4sale.com are a good start.
We have a 13'
Scamp for our family of 4. It's snug but workable for sleeping, and surprisingly roomy when the beds are converted to seating.
Best wishes in your "egg hunt"!
