Thanks, Jane. The Bubble is a good interim name and would serve if you chose it in the end, too. Bubble. We used to have a unique elevator in the Seattle Center we called the "Bubble-ator." It was round...not unlike Scamps' edges.

BEST

Oh my goodness, thank you so much everyone ! I appreciate your list, Jack. I have much of what's on your list already in "the cart" on Amazon. I was planning on making a cover for the stove. Scamp's is too expensive. Lots of great ideas !! We don't get our egg until the end of August, beginning of September.

If you're going to make a stove cover, Epicurean cutting boards are a good place to start. Various sizes and shapes. We have two at home and another in the trailer.

I don't wish to be redundant or presumptive. First, treat the wait like a kid before Christmas & enjoy the anticipation. Try YouTube videos. "Keep Your Daydreams" is an inspiring one.

As mentioned, work on your tow vehicle: Hitch, brakes, mirrors, 7 pin plug, rack? cargo box?, storage bins, Clam shelter? You can make choices, and acquire when on sale. Have fun.

Hi Jane,

Thought I add these pictures to help show what I added, it might explain items better. "A picture is worth a thousand words".

Bumper Vinyl holds my sewer flex pipe and fittings

Closet storage is light weight and fits easily, must be assembled inside closet.

Best suction cups from Dollar General.

Bought the NSF 1/2", 15" x 20" board from e-bay, $23.00 incl delivery. Easily drilled and cut with saber saw, clean up inside edges with Dremel w/ sander. Adds work space for kitchen. Fits nicely around faucet area and does not move. When not needed sits against wall next to stove on right.

Cone shaped rubber bumpers on Amazon used for feet and door handle stop.

Lastly is where I mounted Scamps Sewer hose carrier, extra storage.

A week ago we went to the Denver RV show. The sink and stove covers give the interior a nice, clean, finished look. However, none of them have an obvious place to tuck them away when the sink or stove are in use. Weird.

Hi Paul,

I made mine so it will stand up-right (vertically) on the wall to the right of the stove.

Thanks, Jim and Jack, for the sink cover ideas. My comment above was really about the designers of those big and expensive trailers and RV's. They try to design in the good looks, but often simply stop there and the owner, who spent a bundle, is still on his own to make things usable.

Jack,

Mine is a 1983 Scamp 13'. I have modified it considerably and one of these days I will get the photos of all the changes uploaded to my albums. I told a lady I would do that about a year or so ago!! What can I say, I am still working on it, so any day now.

A Good Step is a Must

I built a good quality step out of some left over pressured plywood. Some outdoor carpet on the top to help clean shoes. Scamp logo and red paint are because I can't help glamping my Scamp when possible. You can turn it over on the Scamp floor when travelling to hold wheel chocks, etc. We are seniors and need something stable to help us in and out of our Scamp. This works. If you get a propane fire pit get the smaller one. Flames are too dispersed on the larger one.
