I've been reading your site for a bit however only joined now since I'm seriously looking for a new trailer. Currently I live in an Aliner, not what most of you have tho still fiberglass & light. This year I've decided to either buy a small house planted in the ground or a casita, I think. Hi-Los are also fiberglass and the older ones have what I want - more room, an inside toilet, light & an oven. I'd also like an easy chair. Since I'm handy, I don't mind a few repairs or make-overs. Anybody pull those captain chairs out of a casita & put in a recliner? Is there enough floor space?

Hi Judy and welcome. I have an SD but I'm not sure if there is room because of the tirewell for that type of chair although the LD comes with captains chairs so maybe.

FYI, Hi-Lows are not made from molded fiberglass, they're made with standard camper construction methods. They're made in 2 pieces so they can be dropped down for towing. From experience of several owners that I know, the Hi-Lows are heavy.

There is a lady in New Hampshire that pulled out the Casita captain chairs and put in something else, a recliner I believe. We bought the Casita chairs from her and put one in our Uhaul, so this is how I know about it. Haven't seen her post anything in quite some time now and can't remember her name. I believe her reason for doing so was she had arthritis.

Yes, so true. When towing an Aliner, it seems like you aren't pulling much, but with a Hi-Low, you will definitely know it is behind you. And it will be reflected in your fuel bill!

Hi Judy. Welcome to the forum. I'm located in west central MN. The Scrambled Eggs group in MN (with folks from MB, TX, WI, IL as well) gathers at least a couple times a year. They're a fun group. I'm not sure how to link you to the group, but I'm sure one of those in the know will chime in soon.

A twin-bed version Snoozy could easily be modified
with only one twin bed and the other space for a recliner.
