Hitting the Road in April

Hello everyone! I am Rick,
I am getting ready to hit the road, after a series of unfortunate events after my retirement from the military 5 years ago, (Back surgery, loss of job, divorce) my house went into foreclosure after unsuccessfully trying to sell for two years, out of money to continue, and now bankruptcy to salvage from the bank my military retirement check. I bought a 13ft uhaul before I had went into foreclosure with the hopes of selling the house and being on the road in January, but life (and banks) took over and now its a April departure date, I am so excited! I always wanted to do this when I retired from the Army, now I get to explore the country I have spent all my life defending. I many have had to file bankruptcy at 47, but I had paid off my credit cards years ago in planning this lifestyle so all I have is the mortgage and with the bankruptcy it will be all good. I am happy! and love to travel and meet new and interesting people and places! .. hope to see you all on the road!.

You've discovered how to make lemonade out of lemons. Being a molded trailer owner has given you a head up over those that no longer have a home of any kind. Bad things DO happen to good people. Post pictures when you can.

I totally agree with you Donna, It was one of the main reasons I started looking for a Fiberglass trailer that was small that I could tow behind my jeep in case of a worse case situation. I have never been one to cry over spilt milk!, thank you for the kind words.. Ill post some soon.
