Hopeful owner patiently searching

Hello, everyone. I guess it's that time when the spouse, in no uncertain terms, determines that the tent camping days are over. We loved it, but with two kids now and cresting "the hill", we'd like to soften up "roughing it". So, we are left with a couple of options (not many, because we still haven't found the money tree yet).

At first, I considered pop-up campers as a big step up from tents and easily storable in our garage. But ... we also like stuff with character ... and its portability comes at a cost of extra labour in set up times.

Option two is the lightweight RV -- most noteably, the fiberglass variety. We visited a campground a couple of weeks ago and spoke with a woman who owns a beautiful 1972 13' Boler with an awesome paint job. This piqued my wife's interest (she already had a passing fancy with Bolers as we have seen a couple of them in the city from time to time).

So, now might be the chance to research, search and query the esteemed FG community. I mentioned "character" before and as an example, our favourite vehicle we have owned (and regret selling) was a fully optioned 2001 Pontiac Aztek (complete with camping package). Ugly to some, but so unique, practical and full of character!

I have some questions and will post in (hopefully) appropriate places, but it seems we are fairly lucky geographically (Atlantic Canada) as far as FG RV options go as I have seen (on Kijiji) a few Bolers, both a 13' Trillium and big brother 4500, a 16' Scamp, Beachcomber TM15 and a 1984 17' Bigfoot (my personal fav) available since spring -- all within a couple of hours drive from us.

Wish us luck.

Welcome, Troy and Donna! We look forward to following your search towards the 'eggsactly' perfect egg for you. You live in a lovely area of Canada! (and in all honesty, most of the big 'C' is lovely).
