I’m new too

I’ve been looking for a project fibreglass rv for a while and a lot of searches have brought me here. I finally pulled the trigger and picked one up the other day for $400 cad and it’s going to be a total gut job. I bought it site unseen 20 min after it was posted for sale. By the time I got to pick it up there were 60 more messages. (Good thing I paid via email

Anyways I am now the proud owner of a 14ft 1975 carefree trailer. Somehow they managed to cram a 3way fridge, stove, furnace, water heater and 3 piece bath in the little thing. I’m looking forward to ripping into it and seeing what I’ve gotten myself into.

Start with soap and water, not a crowbar. We've seen numerous threads here starting with a post "well, I gutted this trailer, now what"? That's when they discover that closets and cupboards and the like are often part of the structure that's holding the trailer together.
I'd start by replacing tires and having the wheel bearings done. Then making sure propane and electrical systems function. Then, I'd go camping and think.

Thanks for the advise, a good clean is gonna be the first step for sure. And I’d like to keep as much of the structure in tact if I can as everything fits so tight and I’d have a hard time getting that bathroom right again if I took the walls down. What I do know is this is built more like a beachcomber then a boler so it does have wood between the fibreglass and panel board . The windows have leaked and rotted a lot of that wood and it’s also kinda soft around the door.. so I need to dig at least that far to get the windows fixed.
Luckily I’m a plumber/gasfitter so I’m sure I can sort out appliances. If the ones there don’t work I can fit new ones. This trailer also has leaf springs and flipping the axle to the other side should give me an easy 3 inch lift. Once I get it a little taller I will see what kinda tires I can fit. I hope to take it down logging roads to forestry rec sites to the extra clearance will be a bonus

Yup, and that wouldn't even include the folks that bought a fixer that had been gutted and ask the same question .
